Description

The GSX-S750 is built around the inline four from the K5 GSX-R750, retuned for road use and producing 112bhp and 59.7lb-ft. It is smooth, has a good throttle connection and pulls right through the rev range with a noticeable lift from 8,500rpm up to the 11,500rpm redline. The induction noise when you open it up is one of the best things about the bike.

It handles better than the spec sheet suggests. The 41mm KYB inverted forks and rear shock only offer preload adjustment, but Suzuki have set it up well for British roads. It is stable, predictable and carries its 213kg with ease.

Twin 310mm discs with four-piston Nissin radial calipers give plenty of stopping power, and ABS plus three-stage traction control are standard. This GSXS features Yoshimura carbon tip exhaust, tinted screen, tail tidy, paddock stand bobbins, datatag, two keys, owners manual and service book with three stamps in the book and a further folder with lots of paperwork which has services for self servicing items also. || At Superbike Specialists, we offer a top selection of HPI-clear used motorcycles (unless stated). Our bikes are mechanically prepared by passionate onsite mechanics, with a focus on exceptional customer service.

Every bike includes a 30-day warranty, with options to extend to 6 or 12 months, a minimum of 6 months MOT, and a fresh service. UK mainland delivery starts at £50. Competitive finance and card payments are accepted.

We are also an authorised Scorpion Datatool dealer, offering fully fitted S5 Thatcham-approved trackers from £299. ||

About the SUZUKI GSX-S750

Why Buy the Suzuki GSX-S750?

Tired of the poser bikes that look fast but feel underwhelming? The Suzuki GSX-S750, affectionately known as the 'Gixxer Thou Lite', offers a potent blend of accessible power, sharp handling, and Suzuki's legendary reliability. It's a middleweight naked that punches above its weight, providing thrilling performance without the intimidating price tag or demands of a litre-bike. For riders stepping up from smaller capacity machines, the GSX-S750 is an ideal choice. Its inline-four engine provides a smooth, linear power delivery, making it manageable for less experienced riders while still offering plenty of excitement for seasoned enthusiasts. The chassis is agile and confidence-inspiring, perfect for carving through country lanes or navigating urban traffic. Factor in Suzuki's reputation for bulletproof engineering, and you've got a motorcycle that's not just fun, but also dependable. It strikes a sweet spot between outright performance and everyday usability, making it a versatile companion for commuting, weekend blasts, and even the occasional track day.

Common Issues

The GSX-S750 is renowned for its reliability, and major widespread issues are rare. However, as with any used motorcycle, it's wise to be aware of potential minor concerns:
  • Electrical connectors: Some owners have reported occasional issues with corroded electrical connectors, particularly on bikes that have seen extensive use in all weather conditions. Regular checks and a bit of dielectric grease can prevent this.
  • Minor cosmetic wear: Being a naked bike, components like the radiator and engine casings are exposed and can pick up stone chips or minor scuffs. Check for signs of damage.
  • Chain and sprockets: As with all chain-driven bikes, regular maintenance is crucial. Worn chains and sprockets are common on higher-mileage examples.

Running Costs

The GSX-S750 offers competitive running costs for its class.
  • Fuel Economy: Expect around 45-50 mpg depending on riding style.
  • Insurance: Group 12 (approx.), but premiums will vary based on rider experience and location.
  • Servicing: Suzuki's servicing intervals are generally reasonable, with major services typically due every 7,500 or 15,000 miles.
  • Tyres: A set of good quality tyres will typically last between 4,000-8,000 miles depending on rider style and tyre choice.

Variants

The GSX-S750 has primarily been sold in one main format, but there have been a few notable variations:
  • GSX-S750: The standard naked model, which is the most common.
  • GSX-S750Z: Often a special edition with different colour schemes and sometimes minor cosmetic upgrades.
  • GSX-S750A (ABS): Most models sold in the UK come equipped with ABS as standard, indicated by the 'A' suffix in some markets. It's highly recommended to opt for a bike with ABS.
