Description
The bike specialists, trading standard award winners for the past 12 years. Bike ID: #10407 We are very proud to offer the opportunity to own this rare beautiful example of the Honda "NC35". Our Honda RVF400 (NC35) is a legendary, Japan-only "grey import" sport bike produced between 1994 and 1996.
It is widely recognized as a "mini-me" version of the iconic Honda RVF750R (RC45) This stunning example was first registered in the UK in March 1999 from new and shows just 1 owner on the V5 and has covered just 9,391 Km. Its is in original condition and credit to its previous owner. It is supplied with two keys, original service book, original manuals as well as some service receipts.
The bike will receive a fresh 12 months MOT and a service prior to delivery. "The Honda RVF400 NC35 was introduced in 1994 as the final evolution of Honda's high-performance 400cc sport bikes, developed during Japan's late-80s/early-90s "golden era" when licensing laws pushed manufacturers like Honda to build small-displacement machines with full superbike engineering; it replaced the Honda VFR400R NC30 and took heavy inspiration from race bikes like the Honda RVF750 RC45, featuring a refined V4 engine, improved chassis, and modernized styling, but by 1996 it was discontinued as demand shifted toward larger bikes and Japan's economy slowed, effectively marking the end of Honda's premium 400cc V4 line-though it later gained cult status as a highly collectible "mini superbike" known for its engineering and handling". We are a family-owned company that prides itself on the quality of our Motorcycles and all of them are carefully chosen, handpicked enthusiast pre-owned examples that are always HPI Clear for your peace of mind. We offer all the usual used Motorcycle Dealer facilities such as Low-rate finance and extended warranties and operate a no-pressure environment where you can relax and enjoy good old-fashioned service with a smile.
We have just upgraded our Indoor Showroom where you can see Motorcycles you sometimes can only dream of seeing and sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves when we get certain bikes in as we would like to keep them all! We cater for very specialist tastes and can usually source rare and coveted bikes that we do not have in stock and have lots of contacts throughout the world.

Typical Price Range
All prices are approximate and subject to change based on condition, mileage, specification, and market conditions.
- 1994–1996 (Project/High Mileage): £4,500 – £7,000 — These bikes often require significant mechanical work, cosmetic restoration, or are suitable for parts.
- 1994–1996 (Good Condition/Usable): £7,500 – £10,500 — Well-maintained examples suitable for regular riding, though may have some age-related marks and need routine maintenance.

Common Issues to Check
- Regulator/Rectifier: A known weakness on many older Hondas; check for proper battery charging and healthy running at all RPMs.
- Suspension Components: Original fork seals and the rear shock absorber will likely be worn and may require rebuilding or replacement due to age.
- Carburettor Balance: The four individual carburettors can easily go out of sync, leading to rough running, poor idle, and reduced performance.
- Brakes: Inspect discs for warping or excessive wear, and calipers for seizing or corrosion, especially if the bike has been stood for a while.
- Parts Availability: As a grey import, some specific RVF400 parts can be rare and expensive to source, so check for any non-standard or missing components.
Running Costs
- Fuel Economy: Around 35-45 mpg, depending on riding style and maintenance.
- Insurance Group: Group 30-40 (car equivalent), reflecting its performance and desirability, often requiring specialist insurance due to import status.
- Servicing: Requires specialist knowledge, especially for valve clearances and V4 carb balancing. Parts can be harder and more expensive to source than for common UK models.
Which Variant Should I Choose?
- Standard NC35: The quintessential RVF400 experience, ideal for enthusiasts seeking a pure, unadulterated classic sport bike feel.
- Track-Prepared NC35: Often featuring upgraded suspension, brakes, and exhaust, suitable for riders looking to enjoy its exceptional handling capabilities on closed circuits.
- Concours/Collector NC35: Low mileage, highly original examples in superb condition, perfect for collectors or those who want a showpiece that will hold or appreciate in value.
